Al Gore...No More!

Whether or not you choose to watch what can only be described as a variety show that is the Democratic Convention in the Mile High City, I think you should be aware of a wonderful story as told by Glenn Beck. This is especially timely, given WHO is scheduled to stump for "O" tonight.

Watch this video, and then give your immediate reaction in the comments section.

At least those rescued children are now safe from global warming.

Please read the above as dripping with sarcasm.

Great story about Irena.

Great story. I have often found it odd that he won. This just makes me wonder why even more.

Just a cursory glance at some of the recent recipients of the Nobel Peace Prize - besides Al Gore we have Jimmy Carter and that paragon of peace, Yasser Arafat - will prove beyond doubt that this particular prize has about as much credibility and prestige as a wet Kleenex. It has been transformed into a meaningless political plum.

Good rarely does take the spotlight... more often fame, money, politics and prestige do. They need it to impress the world, while Christ-like people do it to impress God. :) Go Irena!

My immediate reaction? Al Gore is a hysteric and a fool.

Irina Sendler is better off being remembered as the impossibly brave woman she was, than a winner alongside the murderers, conspiracy theorists and enemies of freedom that have come to characterize the Nobel Peace Prize in recent years.

Whether in the slums of Poland or the sewers of Calcutta, God's people do what is needed, not politically expedient. Our task is to serve Him where He leads us. Good deeds are blessed by God, not applauded by men. Dad.

Irena's true reward is happening all around her right now, and don't you know there were some people waiting at the gates whom she rescued their children from certain death. What a blessed reunion.
